TOXICITY STUDIES
BIOCON is capable of supporting a wide range of in vivo toxicology and safety assessment studies. Our studies can be conducted under full GLP compliance and also in a BSL-2 environment if needed. Serum chemistries, necropsy, pathology, and histopathology evaluations can all be provided through our network of providers and supervised by our on-site board-certified veterinary pathologist. Our on-site Quality Assurance Unit will oversee and ensure compliance with all GLP regulations, providing you with reliable and timely turn-around of final reporting.
Acute Toxicity Studies
-
Designed as a primary appraisal of the toxicity of a compound and characterize any adverse effects
Subacute Toxicity Studies
-
Performed to determine the maximum and minimum tolerated dose level regimens for future sub chronic toxicity studies
Subchronic Toxicity Studies
-
Designed to evaluate and characterize the short-term toxic and pharmacologic effects of a test material in small laboratory animals for future chronic toxicity, carcinogenicity or reproductive studies
Pharmacokinetic Studies
-
Designed to measure the rate that the compound travels through the system.
BIOCON conducts comprehensive studies to address animal responses to test materials. We offer complete blood chemistries, hematology, coagulation function assessments, clinical observations, full necropsy and histopathology support, dermal toxicity and skin irritation assessments as part of our final reports.
BIOCON has facility veterinary, veterinary pathology, clinical pathology and veterinary ophthalmology expertise and toxicology and biostatistics capabilities.
