BIOCON's primary facility houses specific pathogen-free small animals in a temperature- and humidity-controlled Biosafety Level II environment. A second site, located less than ten minutes away, holds animals with known endemic pathogens and provides BSL-I level safety containment. Both sites offer special-purpose and custom-designed lab space and resource rooms. Computerized security systems maintain the safety and integrity of the facilities, animals and staff.
